For this project, my objective was to create a personalized rendition of the alphabet. The resulting set of letters embodies a captivating fusion of grid-based typography and fluid, organic forms, evoking a harmonious balance between structure and spontaneity. To accentuate this duality, I experimented with three-dimensional design, utilizing the transformative capabilities of Adobe Illustrator to sculpt intricate shapes that instilled each letter with a sense of depth and dimension.
The manipulation of light, shadow, and perspectives seamlessly blended the letterforms into the background. A sense of dynamism and depth invites viewers to explore the intricacies of each character. For my application of the letterforms, I created a series of skateboard decks. The repetition, rotation, and cropping of letterforms created dynamic patterns and compositions.
